Although a Carnatic raga, it is a common belief that raga Charukeshi is a new entrant to Hindustani Classical Music. It exists in the Hindustani style as Raga “Chandramauli”, but was probably popularised by the Carnatic style & therefore has become popular as “Charukeshi”
Raga Chandramauli or Charukeshi as it is known today is a late night melody.
What am i trying to say? Nothing big actually not like i know much about indian classical music. But from the vague knowledge that i have acquired what i can say about Charukesi is that im fundementally in love with it. Someone told me that this raag depicts a loss of a loved one. It sure has a melancholic touch to it. I guess that's why i relate alot to it.
There's a reason i'm righting this post (ahem attn: mr Viggy Wiggy)
Music means more than life to me that it so becomes my life. Thus i tend to relate it to my life.
I'm sorry if i have offended strict classical musicians but wadeva la eh? I've put some stuff related to charukesi below.
So what's next?
Im looking for a bassist
Actually anyone interested in joining a indian rock band
I'm trying not to limit myself. Definetly not after that talk i had.
And remind me to remind myself ok?
Music means Discipline Discipline Discipline...
